Oswego Lake
The single most misunderstood location in the city. The lake and its shoreline are privately controlled, and access comes with property rights rather than with a city permit, which means a waterfront ceremony or a dock portrait depends on whoever owns that stretch of shore. Settle that question in writing before a timeline assumes it. When access does exist, the lake is genuinely lovely late in the day, because the water throws light back up under a canopy that would otherwise be very dark.
